The High Court in Kampala has ruled that an Indefinite forced leave that the former Secretary to the Judiciary was sent on is illegal and unreasonable. Justice Musa Ssekaana notes that Kagole Kivumbi’s forced leave ought to have had a timeline within which to expedite the investigations into the alleged financial impropriety in the Judiciary. Two People including a Kenyan National have been remanded to Kitalya Government Prison on charges of interfering with goods under customs control and making false declaration to Customs. Lawyers representing murder suspects Mathew Kanyamunyu and Cynthia Munwangari have abandoned the case after filing written submissions in an application seeking to pursue negotiations that are intended to have the matter settled out of Court, The Ugandan Wire has learned.
