World Athletics has officially certified the Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon course, marking a significant milestone in the event’s journey towards global recognition. The Government of Uganda has been called to uniformly implement tax exemptions on medical equipment being imported into the country. The call was made on Saturday, by Dr Henry K. Lukwago at the launch of the George William Kiggundu International Hospital (GWKIH), which he built in Kakiri town along Hoima Road, in honor of his 97-year old father. 13th October 2023 – The Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) has lifted the suspension of works at the Kingfisher Development Area (KFDA) in Kikuube District, paving the way for the resumption of operations. Former National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Managing Director Richard Byarugaba has dragged the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Hon. Betty Amongi to court for refusing to renew his contract at NSSF. Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Commander for Land Forces and First Son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced an end to “mercy” that has in the past been shown to armed cattle rustlers in the troubled Karamoja Sub-region.  “You have refused all our appeals!
