Yesterday the Speaker of parliament issued out statements saying that there is group experts who have invented Corona Virus Vaccine and that in a period of 14 days, the vaccine will be manufactured for official use.
“A professor who manufactured a treatment for corona virus in the US was here last week and he has donated the patent to Uganda and within a fortnight, the treatment will be made here.. It will be made by a Company called Dei International. There is hope and the treatment will start here in Uganda” She said.
This has caused mixed reactions and stampede among Ugandans on social media with most of them ridiculing her statements punctuating them far-fetched and baseless.
In a recent audio, The Ugandan Wire obtained provides details of an anonymous man who claims he has worked with Dei International before and says it’s a group of conmen led by ‘Mathias Magoola‘ and that they have decided to blind fold the speaker and harass tax payers money.
We have gathered that Magoola is politically well connected to the extent that he recently met the President with his American partner and managed to get prominent coverage for his meeting in the State-owned New Vision.
The Uganda Medical Association (UMA) has today issued out a statement on this issue saying “To date, there is no single medicine that can cure this disease or vaccine that can prevent it, much as many are being tested”.
In the statement UMA expressed their displeasure about the quick cadre scientists who desire to misinform the leadership of the country.
