Former Miss Uganda, Sylvia Namutebi is set to represent the Pearl of Africa at Mrs. World Pageant after being crowned Mrs. World Uganda. The event will occur later on this year in Sri Lanka, Asia.
The beauty queen shated with the mesia her intentions of carrying the Ugandan flag high up whilst in the competition. She hopes to live up to her abilities.
“I feel delighted and grateful for this opportunity to fill this gap that has existed in this country for ten years. It’s a privilege to be the person selected to take on this mantle. My involvement and background in Miss Uganda has contributed a lot to this selection and I will not disappoint,” she said.
The 2011 Miss Uganda has been phenomenal in supporting the local competition and inspiring countless princesses in the modeling world with a dream to claim the pageant.
The difference between this pageant and Miss Uganda is that Mrs. Uganda is entirely about responsibility. It’s a pageant for ladies who are married and with kids yet the requirement for Miss Uganda is being single ladies without any kids.
Mrs. Sylvia Wilson Namutebi Alibhai is married to Talent Africa CEO Aly Alibhai and was instrumental in reviving the Miss Uganda Pageant as the Miss Uganda Project coordinator for the years 2018 and 2019 during which she cemented her portfolio in the pageantry world.
