The National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders in Bunyangabu District have constituted a team of Boda Boda riders to sweep the area canvassing for the NRM vote among the people. This group will traverse the mountain areas of Bunyangabu which has in the past seen a decline in the NRM support with the aim to encourage people to rally behind the party. The Democratic Party (DP) regional representative for Acholi sub-region, Justine Obol has lashed out at the Police and the army for disrupting the campaign processions of DP candidates. “The candidates of the opposition have been attacked and even at the local level, the NRM uses state power and resources to block us. The Ministry of Health has announced that the Regional Hospital for Paediatric Surgery in Entebbe is complete and fully equipped. “The teaching hospital will be fully operational in 2021 and provides state-of-the-art medical services to both Ugandans and citizens of neighboring countries,” the Ministry tweeted. The entire compound of the hospital is 120,000m2 in area. The main hospital facility will occupy 8,700m2 and have a capacity of 72 beds, 6 of which will be within an intensive care unit (ICU). Amuriat was arrested at Kombe near Kyamuhunga as he was on his way to Rubirizi District to hold his campaign rally.
