Mengo Court Chief Magistrate Esther Nansambu has dismissed with costs the application filed by National Unity Platform (NUP)’s Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu against Kampala Central MP elect, Mohammed Nsereko that was seeking for a vote recount on allegations of Malpractices and irregularities that Nyanzi claimed marred the said election. The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has recorded majority seats in the recently concluded LCV District Chairperson and City Mayoral races. The High Court in Kampala has ordered the immediate restoration of National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi’s personal freedom, and that all security personnel surrounding his home at Magere  in Wakiso District vacate with immediate effect. Presiding Judge Michael Elubu has also restored  Kyagulanyi’s wife Babra Itungo’s right to free movement and ordered the Attorney General to pay them costs incurred in prosecuting this application.
