Today the Magistrate court in Mengo headed by the chief magistrate Esther Nasambu has dismissed with costs the petition filed by Fred Nyanzi to have Kampala central MP votes recounted stating that Nyanzi did not provide sufficient evidence to back his allegations.
Court also noted that none of the agents, who are said to have been denied access to polling stations was mentioned or swore an affidavit to support chairman Nyazi’s allegations.
“Am thankful that Chairman Nyanzi’s application has been dismissed with costs. I will not listen to pleas by his people to forgive him the costs. Nyanzi needs to know that these matters he plays with are not simple. Some people need to learn that there are consequences to tarnishing other people’s names”, MP Muhammad Nsereko told our reporter.
