Yesterday, Jinja magistrates court was to listen and give a verdict to a petition presented by NRM’s Kanusu, who was the third runner up in the Jinja Municipality mayoral race. Kanusu sought-after vote recount over what he felt as an abnormal loss to Jinja city mayor elect, kasolo.
Kasolo had his fame into the public through the swengere comedy files. He (Kasolo) struggled with security towards the verge of him being announced the winner and also found himself spending a night behind bars over not following curfew guidelines.
Kasolo had managed to garner 11899 votes whereas the second runner up who is also the former kagoma constituency member of parliament, Hon Frank Nabwiiso garnered 10398 whilst the petitioner got a miserable 9810 votes among the Jinja city electorates.
