The High Court in Kampala will on Monday 7th December rule on whether to allow 2 National Resistance Movement (NRM) Political rivals in the Mawogola – North MP race resolve their differences in Court.
This was after Shartis Kuteesa Musherure filed an application seeking to be joined as a respondent in a case filed last week by her political rival Sodo Kaguta challenging the refusal by their Party NRM to announce him as it’s official candidate for Mawogola North Constituency.
Musherure made the application before Justice Musa Ssekaana through her lawyer David Mpanga saying she holds the same view with the NRM electoral body and CEC that neither her nor Sodo won the contentious party primary election in Mawogola North.
Musherure Kuteesa the daughter to Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kuteesa and Sodo Kaguta a relative to incumbent President M7 are dully nominated independent candidates for the post of Mawogola – North constituency in Ssembabule.
However Sodo petitioned Court seeking orders compelling NRM’s Electoral Commission to announce him as the NRM Flag bearer saying he emerged the winner in the concluded Primaries.
Justice Ssekaana said he will first decide whether to add Musherure before going ahead to dispose off Sodo’s case.
