A medical representative with the Joint Medical Store (JMS), Mr. Henry Ssenfuma has been sent on remand to Kitalya Government Prison for stealing 1,600 packs of Ampicillin/Cloxacillin drugs worth Shs 8M.
Ssenfuma is further alleged to have forged profoma invoice orders of the said drugs purporting that the supply of the same on credit to Baka Pharmaceutical Ltd Company and Amigos Health Care Services had been authorized by the Manager Ware House; whereas not.
He is alleged to have committed the offence on 10th and 11th October, 2016 while in performance of his duties at the Joint Medical Store Offices in Nsambya, Kampala District.
He appeared before the Anti-Corruption court Grade One Magistrate Sarah Namusobya and denied charges of embezzlement and forgery.
Prosecution’s Harriet Angom informed court that investigations in this case are complete and the matter has been fixed for hearing on 8th October, 2020.
