News reaching our desk indicate that General Katumba Wamala, the former UPDF Commander, who doubles as a Minister of Transport and Works has been involved in a nasty assassination incident along the Kisaasi-Bukoto route in Kampala.
The Army General who was driving in a green UPDF land cruiser was shot at about 7 times by unknown assailants that were driving on a motor bike.
Gen. Wamala came out of the incident alive but his driver whom we’re yet to identify and his daughter Belindah died on the scenes, still according to eye witnesses.
The Minister was rushed to hospital on a boda boda.
