Former Presidential Candidate and founding member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Dr. Warren Kizza Besigye Kifefe has blasted the Special Forces Command (SFC) Boss and First Son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba for what he termed as treasonous rhetoric on the Lt. General’s personal twitter handle.
Mr. Muhoozi has in the past days had rough days with change seeking Ugandans led by National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine who are seeking to unseat his father Gen. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
The epitome of his lash out with the politicians was when he mocked Bobi Wine for being granted the name “Musinguzi” by Banyankore during the NUP Manifesto launch in Mbarara, saying he has never won anything and should never have been given that name. He said calling Bobi Wine Musinguzi was an insult to all Banyankore and Western Uganda tribes. Musinguzi loosely translates for “winner.”
In his response, Bobi Wine blasted the First Son for being drunk in serious matters and tribalistic.
While appearing today on NBS TV, Dr. Besigye blasted the First Son for breaking military laws and choosing political sides ahead of the election, while holding a sensitive position in the forces.
“The tweets that son of Mr. Museveni has been pushing out. As a senior military officer, just those tweets should put him in prison. They’re his personal published views while holding an office of such kind of responsibility.” Dr. Besigye said.
Besigye, who was President Museveni’s personal doctor in the bush termed the tweets as treasonable but said it is absurd nothing can be done to him because “even those tweets are in defence of their power.”
