Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) as well as a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming general elections Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias as Bobi Wine has attacked Captain Mike Mukula over holding a meeting in church in Bugisu sub-region, Eastern Uganda without observing the Ministry of Health directives .
The incident happened over the weekend where the National Vice Chairman for the ruling party (NRM) in Eastern region had a gathering with voters in one of the churches and it has caused a hullabaloo all over media platforms.
“No masks, no social distancing, why should the NRM government insist on online elections if its members can not adhere to Electoral Commission guidelines as well?” Bobi Wine pondered.
The People Power strong man wondered how for a long period of time, religious leaders have been begging government to reopen churches in vain but right now NRM leaders are holding meetings from there.
“What does this mean? Isn’t this hypocrisy? I request Mr. Byabakama to speak to the public about the relevance of scientific elections if some people are already moving through communities and not adhering to the directives.” Bobi Wine further said.
