Supreme Court Justice Dr. Esther Kisakye has declined to grant bail pending appeal to a jailed former MTN employee Joshua Magombe who was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for Electronic Fraud and Theft of more than Shs 3Bn on 25th January, 2013. The Uganda Independent Electoral Commission (EC) Ag Spokesperson Mr. Paul Bukenya has confirmed that at least 14 Presidential hopefuls have so far returned nomination forms for the 2021 General Election. Five candidates have today been fully nominated by the Electoral Commission (EC) to contest in next year’s general elections for the Rubanda East constituency Member of Parliament (MP) seat.
