Museveni has today commissioned the 50MV Power Station which will provide electricity for the Sino-Mbale City industrial park. Mbale City industrial park, whose construction started last year, was officially commissioned by President Yoweri Museveni in March this year. “This is an opportunity for us to employ our people and improve our manufacturing capacity now that there is enough electricity to power this project.” Museveni said at the commissioning ceremony. The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu was on Tuesday 24th November 2020 in Bundibugyo, Bunyangabu and Kasese districts for his campaign rallies. The presidential candidate arrived in Kasese on Tuesday evening amidst heavy police deployment and rains. The Ministry of Health has said in a nation-wide address about the COVID-19 response that schools will not close despite COVID-19 cases being registered in some. The Ministry was addressing the nation on Tuesday this week on the status and response to the COVID-19 situation in the country. Two people are reportedly dead and 15 injured with the causalities being rushed to the nearest health facility. The Kabaka Birthday Run is an annual run organized by the Buganda Kingdom to celebrate the Birthday (13th April) of His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the Kabaka (King) of Buganda Kingdom. President Yoweri Museveni has today, Sunday, commissioned the newly constructed Soroti Main Market in Soroti Municipality. The market will accommodate over 2,000 traders. The President had taken time off his campaign to open the Shs 24Bn market in Soroti.
