The hospital was constructed and upgraded from a general hospital to a referral hospital to handle specialized medical referral needs of the people of Kayunga district. “Kayunga hospital has been renovated and upgrade to a referral hospital. Independent presidential candidate, Joseph Kabuleta, has this morning made deep stinging statements directed to the incumbent President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni, of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party. The Ministry of Health on 3rd January, 2021 announced that they are in the process of acquiring the COVID-19 vaccine to administer to the population and control the spread of the virus. The Uganda Medical Association was on 30th December 2020 saddened by the loss two great medical practitioners in a time span of less than 24 hours, Dr. Charles Kiggundu and Dr. Alfred Kigozi. The two doctors succumbed to COVID-19.
