The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs wants the Uganda National Kiswahili Council to be hosted under the Ministry of Education and Sports as the suitable institution to promote Kiswahili language. The Senior Presidential Advisor for Creatives, Edirisa Musuza Alias Eddy Kenzo, has asked President Kaguta Museveni to expedite the process of passing the copyright law. Kenzo informed President Museveni that they have no protection on their artistic intellectual works. On Wednesday evening, news trickled in that President Museveni had appointed musician Edrisah Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives. Kenzo a husband to Minister of State for Energy charge of Mineral Development, Phionah Nyamutoro, thanked the president for his appointment and pledged to serve diligently. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions together with other agencies, have arraigned two Jinja City officials before the Anti- Corruption Court on charges of Abuse of Office. The Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety is actively investigating a viral video showing a Gateway bus recklessly overtaking in a corner. According to Micheal Kananura, Traffic Police PRO, they are collaborating with Gateway bus management to identify the bus & driver involved.“Although the video’s timing is unclear & it’s alleged to have been recorded previously but circulated after the recent Kyazanga crash.
