Police Investigating Viral Video Involving a Gateway Bus Recklessly Overtaking 

The Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety is actively investigating a viral video showing a Gateway bus recklessly overtaking in a corner. According to Micheal Kananura, Traffic Police PRO, they are collaborating with Gateway bus management to identify the bus & driver involved.“Although the video’s timing is unclear & it’s alleged to have been recorded previously but circulated after the recent Kyazanga crash. We condemn such dangerous driving behaviour that puts passengers & other road users at risk,” said police.Kananura noted that investigations are ongoing and they will soon provide updates soon.We urge all drivers to exercise extreme caution when overtaking & prioritize road safety.He appreciated the public for help in reporting traffic violations on social media and encouraged timely reporting with clear details, including number plates, time, and location.
