Former Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) commander Dominic Ongwen has been handed 25 years by the International Criminal Court (ICC) sitting in Hague.  While delivering the judgement, Judge Bertrum Schemit said the prosecutor asked for 20 years imprisonment, victims’ representatives asked for life in prison while Ongwen through his Defense Attorney Chrispus Ayena asked Court to consider the time he spent in detention or give him ten years in prison.  However, the court did not consider Ongwen’s request to refer the matter to a traditional Acholi Matoput Court. The Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Police Fire Brigade department have kicked off investigations to bring to light the cause of the fire that ravaged Grace House in King’s College Budo yesterday. 37 Year Old Gen. Mahamat Kaka, the son of the late Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno is the new leader (interim) of the Country. The Chadian army has confirmed that Mahamat will replace his father as the head of a military council to replace the late president.
