It was tense at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe yesterday as the 8th Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Rt. Rev. Stanley Ntagali publicly made an apology over an affair he had with a big bummed woman that also turned out to be one of the Priests’ wife.

The Archbishop publicly confessed that he had committed the sin of adultery and requested forgiveness from God, the Church, Rev. Christopher Tugumehabwe, and his big bummed wife Judith among others.

“I fell into the sin of adultery and I confess to the Lord to forgive me; bishops, partners, brothers, sisters and the entire Church of Uganda, please forgive me.” Ntagali begged.

The former Archbishop was in January this year suspended from service by his predecessor Archbishop Steven Kaziimba, in a letter he had written to the house of Bishops; which this website obtained.

Ntagali had since then maintained a very low profile and had not attended any Church events, until yesterday.

“I apologize to Rev. Christopher and his wife Judith. I want to remain closer to Jesus. I want to continue standing on that solid rock.” Ntagali said, attracting emotional outbursts and tears from the congregation that were seeing how sorry the man of God was.

Yesterday’s event was a thanksgiving service for the Church of Uganda as they celebrated 60 years of self governance. (1962-2021)
