Some six (06) Ugandans were today discharged from Mulago Hospital after they tested negative twice for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Today, 6 patients have been discharged from Mulago National Specialised Hospital after testing negative twice for COVID-19. Total COVID-19 recoveries now stand at 28 in Uganda.” A statement from the Ministry of Health read.
Information we have obtained from Mulago Hospital indicates that of the 6 discharged patients, 3 are male and 3 female. Uganda first discharged COVID-19 patients from Entebbe Grade B in a ceremony that was officiated over by the Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda.
Uganda first registered a coronavirus case on March 21st and the government has been hailed globally for the swift response towards countering the virus.
Among the measures put in place were the national suspension of social gatherings; schools, churches, bars and funerals and later a national lockdown and suspension of public transport.
