While seeing off a team of UPDF critical doctors, nurses and other practitioners involved in the fight against covid-19 in Uganda from Mulago Hospital, Dr. Baterana Byarugaba the executive director of the Hospital has said that coronavirus no longer has space in Uganda.
“We want to show everyone in this country that we have together Mulago National Hospital, Ministry of Health, UPDF and other colleagues from Makerere University brought COVID-19 to a halt. We have disabled COVID-19”, Dr. Baterana told our reporter.
After discharging the 21 patients of the 23 that were admitted at Mulago Referral Hospital, the UPDF deployment has been tentatively put at halt ending their tour of duty at Mulago Hospital.
