Kawempe LCV Councillor to the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Council, Mohammed Ssegirinya has reportedly spent over six days in ‘self-canteen’ according to a video he recorded from his home.
The rowdy city councillor, whose English has been a source of ridicule was addressing the media about the situation that Uganda is in, as regards the deadly COVID-19 virus.
His message of ‘self-canteen’ was an attempt to disclose that he is self isolating and has spent days in ‘self-quarantine.’
Ssegirinya urged his people of Kawempe to be clean, use sanitizers and follow the presidential directives for the goodness of the country.
“I am the saddest state of my life because I cannot afford to buy food for my people and even when people in my community lose a member, I cannot attend the burial. It is totally very absurd on my side” Ssegirinya said in the video.
Ssegirinya, last month, contested for Speaker KCCA and polled one vote in the first Speakership election of City Hall.
