To enhance livestock systems across the country, the Director Generals of the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 13 August 2024. This agreement aims to establish a long-term partnership to promote livestock development through collaborative research, institutional strengthening, and capacity-building initiatives. The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) exceeded the revenue collection target for July by sh93.9b, data from the tax body shows. The revenue performance report indicated that the taxman collected sh2.1 trillion against a target of 2.09 trillion. President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned the newly constructed Kole-Gulu-Nebbi- Arua transmission line, that connects the West Nile subregion to the national power grid. On August 2, 2024, at around 2:00 PM, the Katwe Division Police in Kampala Metropolitan South conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of KIZITO ISAAC, also known as Kamese, a notorious robber and resident of Kisangani Zone, Masaja- Makindye Division- Kampala City.
