The Ministry of Health in Uganda has discharged three Ugandans that have battled COVID-19 and come out victorius, proving that with great health care and following guidelines and regulations, the novel coronavirus can be defeated.
The Ministry organised a send off ceremony for the three patients, who will go unidentified for purposes of fighting stigma in their communities.
Presided over by Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, the ceremony was at Entebbe Grade B hospital where the patients had been hospitalized.
“3 patients who were positive for COVID-19 have been discharged today from Entebbe Grade B Hospital at an event presided over by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda. I appreciate H E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the 33 concrete and precise directives that he has given to the country.” Dr Jane Ruth Aceng, the Minister of Health said in a statement.
“In a special way, I want to say a big thank you to the health workers who manage the COVID-19 suspected and confirmed cases. You are our real heroes. Without you, we cannot get through this battle. Thank you and God bless you.” She added.
