Bruce Nuwagaba, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at The Ugandan Wire has beaten over 1,500 Graphics Designers in the race to design the campaign poster for Democratic Party (DP) Presidential Flagbearer Nobert Mao.
Mr. Nuwagaba, who boasts of over 6 years experience in Graphics Design was declared winner at an event organised by the Party at Grand Imperial Hotel where the Party President and 2021 Presidential flag bearer was lauching his campaign.
The former Gulu Municipality Member of Parliament (MP) and also District Chairman unveiled his campaign poster for his supporters, a poster that Nuwagaba designed.
At the same event, Mao has also unveiled his campaign programme, which will see him start his campaigns in the Rwenzori sub-region, Kasese District.
He told reporters that his campaign will run on a message of reconciliation, which makes Kasese a perfect place to start, considering the 2016 killings in the palace of the Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere.
While speaking to this reporter, Nuwagaba said his poster rates are not as ridiculous as people may imagine, now that he has demonstrated his capabilities officially.
“I am really cheap. And this milestone won’t make me hike my rates. I do my work of Graphics Design as a passion and I don’t feel the need to hike prices now.” Nuwagaba said.
He disclosed that his rates range from Shs. 150,000 depending on the work load and the amount of time he has to invest in the project or work that he is given. He however refused to disclose how much he made from the Democratic Party project.
“Congratulations [again] Bruce Nuwagaba. The Democratic Party (DP) is honored to partner with you to produce the poster everyone will be talking about. Simple and clear. Brings out the man, the mission and the message without any clutter.” Chairman Mao said of the work.
Nuwagaba is Constructions Manager, Web and Graphics. From everyone here at The Ugandan Wire, congratulations Bruce. More wins!
