Kyadondo East Member of Parliament and People Power’s 2021 presidential hopeful, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has hit back at government for disorganizing his consultations, branding them cowards that fear the people.
Kyagulanyi had a scheduled consultation in Gayaza yesterday where Police fired teargas and bullets to disperse supporters of the legislator that had come to attend the consultation meeting.
Himself, Bobi Wine and several others members of his team were arrested and detained for the greater part of the day and released later in the night. The other colleagues that were arrested included among others MPs Latif Ssebagala, Asuman Basalirwa and People Power spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi.
While commenting upon the unfortunate circumstances upon his release, Bobi Wine rapped government for what he termed as cowardice and fearing its own people.
“As usual, these cowards have released us in the deep of the night. These illegal injustices only make us stronger, but most importantly reveal to us how scared the regime is of WE THE PEOPLE. Stronger. THANK YOU ALL FOR STANDING. Aluta continua.” Bobi Wine tweeted.
