The family of the late Joseph Tamale Mirundi, a renowned Ugandan journalist, author, and political analyst, has released his tentative burial program.
Mirundi passed away on August 13, 2024, at Kisubi Hospital. He was Born in 1964 in Rakai district.
He made significant contributions to Uganda as a Presidential Press Secretary for 13 years, but also as a media practitioner.
Funeral Program
Wednesday, 14th August 2024 – Vigil and Mass at Zana Residence
Thursday, 15th August – Requiem Mass at St. Gyaviira Catholic Church, Bunamwaya at 10:00 am, followed by the body being taken to Zana Residence for an overnight vigil.
Friday, 16th August – Body taken to Kyengera Residence for Mass at 10:00 am and an overnight vigil.
Saturday, 17th August – Body leaves for Kalagala Village in Kaliisizo, Kyotera District for a vigil.
Sunday, 18th August – Burial ceremony starts at 10:00 am at Kalagala Village, Kaliisizo in Kyotera District.
