South Sudan has confirmed its first case of the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
South Sudan vice president Riek Machar made the announcement today Sunday making the youngest country in the world, the latest African nation to report a case of the disease.
Vice President Machar said the patient is a 29-year old who arrived in the country from Ethiopia on February 28, and that she was being treated in isolation.
