Tiimu Y’Ensi (TY) Omujuma, the 2009-2014 cohort in the Ntare Lions’ League (NLL) has unveiled a brand-new bean inspired jersey designed and made by AVARC Sports – a fast growing popular athletic design house in Kampala managed by AVARC Apparel.
The unveiled kit is their HOME attire that was developed uniquely for the cohort that are named Omujuma after the most frequently served sauce during their time at Ntare School, the bean sauce.
“It gets inspiration from dry beans, which are usually the beans cooked in schools. This particular bean species has a unique grunge texture that was duplicated to make a full-body pattern.” Amara Bill Kevin (ABK), of AVARC said.
The new jersey also unveils a season-long partnership with KOMBI Technical Services, a private limited company that was incorporated and registered in Uganda in 2007. In light of that, KOMBI appear as the team shirt sponsors on the Home kit and will subsequently appear on the Away kit as well.
“KOMBI has not been in the media space a lot. We are proud to associate with one of the most popular teams in the Ntare League as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Our sponsorship gesture seeks to promote sports among the youth as a means of maintaining good health and fitness while keeping them engaged.” Raymond Mugabi, the Director of KOMBI said.
Bongo Best Price Hardware Limited will be this season’s sleeve sponsors. The hardware is located at Busega Roundabout, opposite Shell.
Decorated as the Ntare League Season XI Social Media ambassadors, TY Omujuma is the most popular NLL side on social media with 2,200 followers on Twitter, 1,303 on Instagram and 538 followers on Facebook.
They have in the past been involved with Sponsors Jumavan Couture for their inaugural season (Season VIII), X-Effect for Season X and online website Campus Bee for Season XI.
“For us, our goal is to be better every season – and this applies for the performance on pitch, our lifestyle and individual/personal development. We are going to look good in this new jersey thanks to AVARC and our sponsors KOMBI Technical Services and Bongo Best Price Hardware Limited.” Alvin Aijuka, the Exec. Officer i/c Special Operations at TY Omujuma said.
“This is a better look from last season. As regards pitch performance, we may not have started on a good note this season but we have since found our scoring boots. Our neighbors at Kabali, Abashweki, Kalele and Jabulani can tell you what it means to face us. And as regards personal/individual development, we have encouraged members to be part of and overseen the operationalization of the Omujuma Investment Club (OIC) that has been running for over 6 months now. There is a lot our members have to gain from identifying with us.” He added.
