The Final Day for Ntare League’s Season Eleven action has been scheduled for Saturday 22nd February, 2020 at King’s Park Arena, the home of Black Pirates Rugby Club in Bweyogerere, Kampala.
The league that was started in 2014 by sport loving old students of Mbarara based Ntare School, has so far run for eleven season with their biggest memory being the Season 10 final when they traveled back to Mbarara to connect with their school.
Season 11, however, has been particularly dramatic after some of the league’s highest scores were registered in the period between September 2019 and February 2020.
Bottom placed Mugudu FC lost 10-1 to SC Shimba while the class of 2016 SC Jabulani humbled Kabali in almost similar fashion (9-1). The other high scores, mostly suffered by Mugudu, were 7-0 versus Abashweki, 7-1 versus Machando and Machando’s thumping of Shimba by 7 goal to zero.
This season saw 136 games played and 448 goals scored. The premier old student’s league was joined by sponsors and partners at the start of the season that the league management believes is what has made the season particularly unique and worth the mentions.
“For me, I take this as a milestone of a season. We were beyond the consistent support from the league teams, we made giant steps to sell a product of commercial value to partners. We can only hope to grow & continue in this direction”, Davis Arinaitwe Karashani said of Season Eleven.
Fixtures for the finale are Omujuma vs Bonshé for the 15th/16th place playoff, Jabulani vs Kisyanga (13th/14th), Kabali vs Kashoro (11th/12th), Kachanchali vs Shimba (9th/10th), Kajogo vs Nshera (7th/8th), Machando vs SC Kalele (5th/6th), Kafubs vs Abazibu (3rd/4th).
There will be a friendly game between official sponsors Jumia with a Select X that will face the NLL Select X. Mugudu will also play FC Bweras as a curtain raiser for the final at 4pm featuring Abashweki and Ebicuncu.
They have invited all Ntare School old boys, their families and well wishers for the Saturday event whose climax will be an end of season party at Naguru based Panamera Bar and Restaurant.
