For the month of July, four athletes posted eye-catching performances from 4 sports disciplines that have had major activities.
In Badminton, Sarah Nazziwa won a silver medal at the Uganda-International Para Badminton which was held last month at Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala. The Wheel Chair category had Sumin Mutesi beating Elizabeth Nassolo for the award.
In football, workaholic attacking forward Joseph Ssewali won the July best footballer award. The Ssingo Ssaza captain excelled by contributing 5 goals out the 8 scored by his team in 4 games played in a month. The form ranked Ssingo on top of the 2024 Masaza Cup competition tallying 10 points in July and 11 points from 5 games of group stage first round.
Ssewali beat Bululi’s Robert Ssewanyana who also netted thrice and Enock Kabuuka.
The Agency with partners further extended awards to the best player in Rugby and Arone Ofoyrwoth won the accolade while WBC winner Sulaiman Ssegawa announced the best boxer in July facing less competition for the award.
