Former NBS One on One With Tamale Mirundi show guest and former State House Press Secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi has revealed that he would rather die than appear on NBS TV again.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kasuku Live (on You Tube) the fire spitting veteran journalist has said NBS TV owner Kin Karisa is in bed with mafias that are against the prosperity of Uganda and truths.

“Karisa used a 10Bn suit against his station to force me out of NBS. I told him I am not a fool. That show has a disclaimer and clearly states that the views are for me and not management. Even a fool can see that.” Mirundi says.

Mirundi, whose fight against mafias in the government has just started (according to him) revealed that COVID-19 test kits in Uganda cost 50 times the amount it costs in neighbouring Kenya.

The veteran journalist has vowed never to appear on NBS again, citing the Station owner’s lack of respect for his intellect and a possible engagement with the mafias.

Mirundi revealed that the mafias had been distributing tunes of upto 200M for media houses and it was in the same time that Mr Karisa asked him to tonne down about some government officials like Gender Minister Frank Tumwebaze.

“I had a lot of respect for Karisa. But from the point he told me that, I have lost the entire respect from him. Infact, even my son is going to die and they tell me that Nalweyiso, Nakalema, Mwenda, Kabushenga, or Tumwebaze have the cure, I’d strangle my own son to death than go to them.” Mirundi said.

He clarified that he was not chased away from NBS, but couldn’t compromise his position after the Station Owner asked him to tonne down on the mafia that he attacks every day and ‘only answers questions that are posed to him on the show.’

“Why would Kin say that the mafia is suing NBS and not Mirundi or adding Mirundi as a party to the case? What’s the purpose of the disclaimer that NBS or other TVs always publish every after a political talk show?” Mirundi questioned.
