National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential Flag Bearer and Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi has taken his 2021 campaign to the Tooro Region in Fort Portal.

The Musician turned Politician is campaigning in Western Uganda after a nasty week in Eastern Uganda (Busoga Region) where he was arrested in Luuka District for flouting COVID-19 guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Bobi Wine was teargassed on the way to Fort Portal after Police intercepted his convoy in Kyegegwa, this was on top of heavy deployment that was awaiting the aspirant in the new Fort Portal Tourism City.

Bobi Wine, while charming the audience, introduced himself as Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Musinguzi Araali much to the excitement and ululations of the people of Tooro.

“I am a Son of Tooro. I am a Mutooro and if any of you is doubting that, go and ask my friend Juliana Kanyomoozi.” Bobi Wine said, attracting cheers and support from the people.

Bobi Wine urged the people to vote the National Unity Platform (NUP) candidates and to also vote him for President in 2021. Citing examples in Kyadondo East, Jinja, Arua and Bugiri, he told the people that it is very possible to vote out Museveni and he wouldn’t rig the vote because the people can protect it.

The “Tuliyambala Enguli” freedom song composer assured the people that the whole world is watching and President Museveni cannot rig the vote this time because he saw what happened to his former comrades Mugabe, Ghadaffi and Omar Al – Bashir.

He promised to give the people of a Tooro an airport owing to their contribution to Tourism, and pledged to reduce the number of the mothers dying at birth to less or no more.

In the past, while in Arua campaigning, Bobi Wine promised to construct a fully equiped maternity ward in every Parish of Uganda to enable mothers deliver their babies safely and sound.
