JUST IN! Gov’t to Cancel Licenses of ‘Crooks’ Hiking Food Prices

News just in, President Museveni has warned businessmen and food vendors that have taken advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to hike prices of foodstuffs.

Speaking to the nation, moments ago, Mr Museveni warned that traders hiking the prices of foodstuffs are anti-development and crooks because Uganda produces all this food locally and the virus has not affected their production.

“We have sent spies into the market areas who will be looking out for traders that have hiked prices. When we get you, we shall cancel your license and you will never be cleared to operate again.” President Museveni said.

The president also said, if the spying network fails, government is considering using NRM cadres in the villages to directly supply food in the towns and rival the food chain of the ‘crooks’.

The National Resistence Army/Movement (NRA/M) has been in power since 1986 with President Yoweri Museveni at the helm of the affairs. Uganda has so far recorded 9 cases of coronavirus amid a global pandemic that has seen over 15,000 lose their lives to the virus.
