Not to be left out, the Bar/Restaurant and Entertainment Owners Association, an umbrella association that brings together night club owners has collected cash, food, medical items and more that they intend to donate to the COVID-19 Uganda taskforce.
President Museveni, about a month ago, suspended social gatherings, something that technically took the bar business out of operation as the country fights the spread of the novel coronavirus.
We managed to access the list of the bar owners’ contribution but have been told that they’re yet to hand it over. The money, we have learnt, is currently in the hands of the association leaders awaiting handover to the national taskforce.
