“You were wearing a mini? With no bra? Coming from a bar? You realise you tempted the men to rape you, right?” You have heard rhetoric that swings along that direction once or twice in your life if you haven’t been unfortunate enough to have said it.

The society we live in, until recently, has been normalizing rape – an act that is both degrading and inhumane for whoever it befalls. Instead of holding accountable the monsters that have forced themselves on our mothers, sisters, girlfriends and even strangers, we have been blaming the victims for “having it coming” because of their dress code.

Girls are saying enough is enough and they’re as loud as they will ever be. In a new campaign to make women comfortable under their skin and in their society, girls on Twitter have started a campaign to “Free that Titty” and “Wear that Mini-Skirt.”

Led by Pesh Ahumuza, a Communications Specialist, the girls have vowed to spend this weekend bra-less and free in their world. And why not?

“Baby girls, we are going to let our titties titty this weekend, yes? YES! Forget that bra. Wear that low-cut top. If you don’t feel comfortable, I know a boob-tape plug. Let’s break these rules. And if you want to, post that pic here. I want to hype you.” Ms Ahumuza declared.

Some of the girls have chosen not to wait for the weekend and are already mashing it up. We gathered some pictures for you!
