So it is almost a year now, ever since the rumor began. Yes, the rumor of a Jazz-Fameica kind of situationship. I swear there is like a thousand pictures of these guys scattered across the web, some of which are, objectively, very very cozy. Yet, in spite of all of this, Lydia Jazmine still vehemently denies any romantic involvement between herself and the rapper.
So here is my prognosis of the situation; either they are playing us for fools, or there is something else going on here. Because, first of all, as a rule of thumb, there is never smoke without fire. Granted, fire, in this case, is not tantamount to a relationship or an affair (or whatever), but there is something that screams ‘true’ about a rumor that lingers for months and months on end.
Have you wondered why Fik has not come out to say anything about the issue? I mean, it is only Jazmine that has bothered to comment, a few times, and each time, she swears to all the gods that the two are only friends. Last night on Spark TV’s Live Wire, the songstress took it a step further, revealing that the rapper is her “best friend”.
Do you remember the tale of the man who used a sugarcane as a walking stick? It is actually pretty straightforward, predictable even. The man walked and walked, and when he got thirsty, like he was bound to at some point, he turned on the sugarcane. I cannot help but think of that tale every time I think of these two.
Chances are, the sugarcane has been eaten already, which explains why Jazmine finds it so compulsively important to come out and deny it. But then, why would she? What is it about Fik Fameica that Lydia Jazmine does not want to be associated with, in the romantic sense?
For Fik Fameica though, it makes sense that he has not come out to confirm or deny it. Because even if it is not true, for him there is no shame in eating sugarcane. As a matter of fact, there may be a little shame in not eating the sugarcane by this point in the journey, depending on who you ask.
Needless to say, this is bound to happen, sooner or later (assuming it is not happening already). Why am I so sure? Because, everytime Jazmine denies it, she also claims that she is not seeing anybody at the moment. So even if we were to play dumb and believe that they are only but best of friends, the law of proximity would come in play. Anyway, we can only watch the space for now. But on a real, they do look kind of adorable together, don’t they?
