Dr. Kiiza Besigye, the 2016 flag bearer of the opposition Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) and also a retired medical doctor says he is ready to join a team of doctors taking on the COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda.
“I am available anytime, I have not been in service for very many years but am ever a volunteer and if my colleagues in the health profession think that I can play any role, I am always available and ready to go in as a volunteer”, Dr. Kizza Besigye told our reporters.
Besigye says Government should also call out private medical practitioners to join those who have already retired.
Besigye is a medical doctor with a degree in human medicine from Makerere University and was Yoweri Museveni’s personal physician during the National Resistance Army (NRA) liberation war way back in 1985.
