Yusuf Mutembuli, the Bukedi Regional People Power Coordinator has defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Mutembuli, a lawyer by profession is famously known in the region for his petition against MP Nagwomu over allegations of not having academic qualifications to run for a political post.
It’s on record that the controversial counsel has changed sides from various political wings in the region. Originally a Democratic Party (DP) cadre to the Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi’s Go Forward then to the fire spitting People Power.
Residents in the region were shocked by the news earlier this morning when their vice chairperson in the Democratic Party was being initiated by Tanga Odoi at the NRM Secretariat.
In recent times, so many political actors have defected from Hon. Kyagulanyi’s movement citing greener pastures in the NRM. The most recent being Ashburg Katto, the Facebook personality that recently moved.
