Uganda has recorded eight (8) more cases of the COVID-19 virus, according to reports just coming in.
The development has been confirmed by the Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng in a press conference at the Ministry of Health headquarters.
Hon. Aceng said the infected are all Ugandans who entered the country from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) aboard the Ethiopian Airlines and Fly Emirates.
The new cases bring the total registered cases to 9 after an initial case was reported three days ago, also, a Ugandan from Dubai.
“The 8 cases were tested out of the 35 samples tested today. 6 of the 8 were intercepted at the airport and they were all from Dubai. 2 were from quarantine.” Minister Aceng said at the presser.
The Minister said the incubation period of COVID-19 is 14 days and signs and symptoms can be seen from the 2nd day to the 14th, depending on one’s immune system.
She advised the population to call the Ministry of Health whenever they show symptoms of the COVID-19.
