National Unity Platform (NUP) and People Power 2021 Presidential hopeful Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has eulogized the late Al Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala as an inspiration and life time role model.

Bobi Wine, whose party, the late former Kampala Mayor and Presidential aspirant had joined prior to his unfortunate demise, applauded Ssebaggala for showing him that even the under privileged can cause a difference.

“When Ssebaggala contested in 1998 for Mayor of the Capital City, he was clearly the under dog. He didn’t know the best English, his opponents had all the money and he was just there – the son of a market vendor.” Bobi Wine said.

He said that by proving to the world that even the poor and under privileged can lead, he opened the way for hundreds of ghetto youths then to have hope in life and seek to make it better.

The Kyadondo East Legislator, then drew support for the NUP Lord Mayor candidate and current Kampala District Woman MP Hon. Nabilah Naggayi Sempala saying that it is time Kampala gets a Woman at the helm of political affairs.

“Like youths and ghetto people, our mothers (women) have not been treated the best by our societies and it is time to make a statement. Kampala is not only for men.” Bobi Wine said.

In her speech, Ms Sempala asked the mourners to support Bobi Wine for President in 2021 because by joining NUP before his death, he was showing his supporters the way like the popular saying “Hajji alagidde.”
