The revelation was made by the Minister of Presidency Hon. Esther Mbayo, who also hinted about the heads of State that had been invited to grace the ceremony.

This website has since learned that some 15 heads of State were invited to the ceremony through Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The invited Presidents include Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Samia Suluhu Hassan (Tanzania), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Evariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), Felix Tshisekedi (DRC), Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa), Edgar Lungu (Zambia), Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe) and Obiang Nguema (Equatorial Guinea) among others.

According to the organizing committee, attendance will be restricted in light of the COVID-19 restrictions and former MPs won’t be allocated seats at the ceremony.

“Each district will be represented by 17 people, including the District Executive Committee members of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), the District LCV Chairperson and CAO.” An Organizer told The Ugandan Wire.

The organizers further intimated that only MPs elects for the 11th Parliament shall be invited.
