The Forum for Democratic Party (FDC) President as well as 2021 Presidential flag bearer Patrick Oboi Amuriat has opened up to critics who keep on comparing him with Dr. Kizza Besigye, saying the four time Presidential Aspirant is incomparable to him.
The former Legislator for Kumi County said this while addressing the media at FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi where he admitted that Besigye is incredible and deserves no comparison at all. He said that focus should be put on the struggle to have collaborative efforts.
“All this criticism come along to destruct me from the dictator. My candidacy is causing panic among the opponents but no criticism will deprive my mission. I implore Ugandans to join me in the liberation cause instead of criticing me. My party will hold unique campaigns within the different parts of Uganda including tours.” Amuriat said.
“We have established a team of 30 people named POWER 10 in every village to embark on door to door campaigns in their respective villages approximately 76,000 villages country wide making 2.5 million comrades in the door to door sensitization,” He added.
Amuriat also called upon the government to play a fair game in the elections or else they will be forced to retaliate to other methods of liberation.
On the same function Amuriat revealed that 316 FDC candidates were nominated for MP seats in different constituencies. He urged the opposition to cooperate where they have common interests like vote protection.
