The permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Dr Diana Atwine has warned Ugandans who are found of traveling to countryside and villages for festive season to consider cancelling their movements.
“As we work to curb the spread of COVID-19, you are encouraged not to travel for Christmas because you do not know your status’, Dr. Atwine cautioned.
Atwine also added that those planning to travel should take it upon themselves to protect their loved parents by staying around this festive season.
Majority of Kampala residents leave the city in December to celebrate the annual festivities with their loved ones in rural areas across Uganda.
