Equal Opportunities Commission Chairperson Sylvia Muwebwa Ntambi has been granted bail after spending six nights in Kigo Government Prison for alleged Corruption, Neglect of Duty and Conspiracy to Defraud. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has started carrying outtemporary repairs on the Kabale – Kisoro road at Hakagyezi in Hamurwa Sub County, Rubanda District, which has been in an appalling state. The road that connects Uganda to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at Bunagana border and to Rwanda at Kyanika border had become impassable at Hakagyezi due to deep and huge potholes that are filled with water. News just in confirms that the Deputy Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre who also served as Deputy Spokesperson for the government Col. Shaban Bantariza has died. The cause of his death was still unknown by the time of writing this story and government was yet to release an official statement of his passing. Canon Zabron Rushambuza, a prominent businessman and church leader from Ntungamo Village, in Bushenyi District, is no more. The 93 year old died on Saturday night, according to reports from his family. Popularly known as Ai Mukama, Mzee Rushambuza died after battling a long illness in Kampala, Uganda’s capital.
