Eliud Kipchoge, made history today when he ran a marathon for less than two hours. The Kenyan Athlete broke his own record by setting another at 1:59:40, the best the world has ever seen.
At just 34, Kipchoge has a chance to better even this personal best in the future if he sets his target to it. Prior to the run, Kipchoge was quoted by the media saying that he believes humans have no limit and he proved that when he subjected his lungs to the most straining effort by far.
A slight look at his pictures, one may think Kipchoge is 45 or 50 going by the wrinkles on his face and his general facial appearance. Considering it is common among African footballers to cut their age, this could be the same scenario. But does it matter?
Absolutely not! What matters is that Kipchoge has set a world record that may go so many years without being broken, if they ever attempt even.
Kipchoge was born in 1984 from Eldoret in Kenya. He was congratulated at the finish line by among others, Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto.
