Three people from two delegations submitted by Presidential candidates for nomination for the 2021 general elections have tested positive for COVID-19, Uganda Electoral Commission has revealed.

This comes after the Uganda’s electoral body directed all presidential candidates and their delegates who will be accompanying them for nominations on 2nd and 3rd November 2020 to test for covid-19 before accessing nomination grounds in Kyambogo.

Our reporters camping in Kyambogo-Banda, a Kampala suburb have revealed to us that security has already taken over the entire locality and that at exactly 3AM, all roads will be blocked and a 2 days curfew slapped on Banda and Kyambogo residents.

This a developing story and we are yet to identify these delegates. Keep it at The Ugandan Wire for the 2021 General Elections Updates.
