In light of the recent debate online where a one Ronan Akantorana accuses his friend, identified as Thelma Garim of rape, medical experts have come out to comfirm that it is possible for a man to fully erect when they’re not in their right state of mind.
Akantorana alleges that the accused ‘rapist girl’ lured him into her appartment, where she gave him a Uganda Waragi glass after which he said he doesn’t recall what happened after.
According to him, he woke up the next morning, butt naked and on the balcony – an allegation that is backed up by a video allegedly recorded by his harasser whom he says even infected him with HIV.
“She told him on the third day to start PEP so that he is safe of HIV. It was luckily within the 72 hour timeline but she is so sick, she even bragged about how lucky he is that she told him earlier and not weeks after.” Musa, a friend of Akantorana’s told this website.
With debates on whether it is possible for a man to be raped filling up social media, medical experts have weighed in and confirmed that it is possible for someone to be unconscious and get an erection which makes penetration easier.
“It is really possible for a man to be erect when they’re sub-conscious. Note, sub-conscious. When you’re totally unconscious, it may be hard to achieve.” Jussy Turinawe, a medical practitioner told our reporter.
Dr. Turinawe made reference to the state of sleep when you’re not aware of what is going on, but still an afford an erection. He said they termed as nocturnal erections (penile tumescence). He adds that therefore, with the right drug, a man can be made sub-conscious and used for material gain by capable women.
“For a man, the climax of sex is ejaculation. In that state, it is almost impossible to achieve that. You would require a conscious mind to ejaculate because you need to be fully aware of what’s going on.” Turinawe further weighed in.
He said the only exception to this is semen that is released during a wet dream. In states like that, men have been known to release cum in a sub-conscious state but that such a scenario doesn’t apply in circumstances of rape because wet dreams come with mind stimulations.
