Yesterday 4th February 2020, draws for this year’s University Football League were conducted in Kampala. For the first time the league is going to comprise of 20 teams away from the usual 16 participants.
The league is set kick off on Friday 7th February at different stadia and is expected to end in November this year.
The 20 teams have been categorised into 4 groups were Universities like Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Kampala International University (KIU) and University of Kisubi (UniK) who will be making their debuts in the league.
Here are 2020 University League groupings.
Group A: Kabale University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Kyambogo, University of Kisubi (UNIK)
Group B: Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU), Kumi, Uganda Christian University University (UCU), Kampala International University (KIU)
Group C: Busitema, Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Kampala University (KU), International University of East Africa (IUEA)
Group D: Bishop Stuart, St Lawrence, Makerere University Business School (MUBS), YMCA
Group E: Muni University, Gulu University, Bugema University, Nkumba University
